Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Grace and peace to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  We are truly thrilled and blessed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Community Church and God’s faithfulness to our ministry.  As members of the body of Christ, we have experienced countless blessings throughout this journey of ministry.  We pray and would be honored if you would join us as we reflect, celebrate and give thanks to God for all He has done for us.

The celebration will take place on November 24, 2024, beginning at 10:00 am with worship.  We will worship God who made all of this possible.  As we worship in the sanctuary, all of us can reflect on all the baptisms, weddings, Christmas Eve candlelight worship, community Good Friday worship, celebrations of faith for those who now live with Christ, and other memories.

Following worship, we will gather in the dining room for a catered dinner at noon to share memories of 100 years of ministry.  We’ll remember and celebrate all the people who came to know Jesus over these 100 years.  We’ll celebrate the ministries, missionaries, and pastors who were birthed out of Community Church.  We’ll praise God for mission trips, local ministries, and fellowship that have taken place over the years.  It will be an opportunity to rejoice in our shared faith in Jesus Christ, fellowship with friends (old and new), and envision the future of Community Church in the years to come. Please use SignUpGenius online to RSVP for the luncheon: https://tinyurl.com/mu4mzev9

We realize that many of you who are receiving this invitation are worshiping with other church families at this time.  If that is the case, please RSVP and join us at noon for dinner to celebrate God’s ministry here that you were a part of.

It is amazing to think that 100 years ago, groups of people from two churches followed God’s call and came together in unity, to form Community Church.  These people and all who have followed have had a great impact on our community.  Little did they know what would take place, but they must have dreamed of what God already knew.  Paul writes on this in Ephesians 4:16, “From Him, the whole body, joined together and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”  Your presence will add great joy to our celebration as we all have played a part in God’s plan over the past 100 years of ministry.

May the grace and peace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you.  We look forward to celebrating with you on this blessed day God has made possible.

God’s Blessings,

Pastor Brett Spalding
