These Christians have been expelled from the synagogue and are facing a great deal of hardship and persecution and Jesus is seeking to encourage them.

Join us to worship the Lord this Sunday, November 17 at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Brett’s sermon is titled: “Heaven Loosed on Earth.” Our scriptures include Philippians 2:1-11, Revelation 5:1-8, and Revelation 5:9-14.
Synopsis: John’s vision of heaven continues and God’s plan for the new heaven and new earth begins to play out in heaven. Our passage from Philippians tells us, “…at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow.” This is truly the beginning of God’s will occurring on earth, heaven being let loose on the earth. When we pray, “thy kingdom come,” we are truly praying for God to come down from heaven again and overcome sin once and for all. We are praying for Jesus to take the scroll and to break open the seals one by one.

Join us to worship the Lord this Sunday, November 10 at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Brett’s sermon is titled: “A Glimpse of Heaven.” Our scriptures include John 14:1-4, Daniel 7:9-14, and Revelation 4:1-11.
Synopsis: I remember when I was young, I was fascinated by what heaven might be like (and I still am). Then I read this passage for the first time, the hair stood up on the back of my neck, my heart raced, and I got goosebumps. I still get the same reaction today as I read about the throne of Heaven.
John writes, “At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it…” John is drawn to the throne in heaven, its glory and majesty and to the one receiving worship from those gathered before the throne.

Join us to worship the Lord this Sunday, November 3 at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Brett’s topic is “The End: God Wins!” Our scriptures include Psalm 96:7-13, Matthew 24:23-31, and Revelation 1:4-8.
Synopsis: The season of Advent is about two things, preparing to celebrate the birth of Jesus and preparing for Jesus’ second coming. As we approach Advent we will begin a series of sermons from Revelation, focused on how we can prepare for Jesus’ return.
Too many Christians don’t want to read Revelation because it does include prophecies of horrible suffering. My beloved, remember, this is God’s will, this is God’s plan, and God will triumph according to His will and His plan. Take heart, God Wins!

Join us to worship the Lord this Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Brett’s topic is “Not So Blind Bartimaeus!” Our scriptures include Psalm 34:1-8, Job 42:1-6, and Mark 10:46-52.
Synopsis: This Sunday, we look at Bartimaeus, whom many refer to as “Blind Bartimaeus.” I find this identity quite ironic as Bartimaeus is anything but blind when it came to His faith. Even as people try to silence him, Bartimaeus’ faith propels him to cry out to Jesus. Bartimaeus makes it very clear that faith is more than reciting a confession, but truly about being convinced that Jesus can and will heal him, that Jesus can and will save him.
