“The End of the Rope” – Worship on November 20th

Join us to worship the Lord on Sunday, November 20th, at 9:30 am. John R. Jackson’s topic is “The End of the Rope” with scriptures from Matthew 10, Genesis 42, and Romans 8.

Come in jeans or other comfortable clothes if you wish to help with “The Hanging of the Greens” as we decorate for the Advent season after worship! It’s a great social time and wonderful to see the sanctuary being transformed.

November 13: We Are Redeemed!

Join us on Sunday, November 13th at 9:30 am as we worship the Lord our Redeemer! Pastor Brett’s topic is “We Are Redeemed!” Our scriptures are from Jeremiah 9, Titus 2, and Ephesians 2. If you wish, watch our live stream on YouTube @communitychurchludington.

Synopsis: The Sermon on the Mount describes the Christian life.  When we look at the Jesus’ teachings in the sermon, it is easy to wonder how it is possible to live in this blessedness.  The truth is, it is not possible if not for Jesus’ gift on the cross.  Jesus died on the cross, not just so our sins would be forgiven and we could live in Heaven with Him for eternity; but so we could live in the blessedness of the Sermon on the Mount.

November 6, 2022, “Sermon on the Mount: Foundation”

Worship the Lord, our Rock and Redeemer, with us on Sunday, November 6th at 9:30 am! Pastor Brett continues the Sermon on the Mount series with “Foundation.” Our scriptures are Luke 6:46-49, James 2:22-27, and Matthew 7:24-29.

Synopsis: Today’s passage talks about the foundation of our faith.  What that comes down to is this; what does one believe, what are one’s core beliefs, what does one believe to be true.  Then we have to ask this; do our stated beliefs align with how we are living our life?
