Synopsis: The Sermon on the Mount describes the Christian life. When we look at the Jesus’ teachings in the sermon, it is easy to wonder how it is possible to live in this blessedness. The truth is, it is not possible if not for Jesus’ gift on the cross. Jesus died on the cross, not just so our sins would be forgiven and we could live in Heaven with Him for eternity; but so we could live in the blessedness of the Sermon on the Mount.

Synopsis: In this passage from the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches about the spiritual practice of prayer. Like the previous passage Jesus tells us to examine our hearts and then teaches us how to pray.
