Synopsis: There is the temptation by some to look at this passage and condemn spiritual practices. Jesus is not doing that here; he is not condemning spiritual practices, but the purpose behind those practices. Jesus is asking us to look at the purpose behind what we are doing. Is it to be noticed by others or to truly honor and praise God?
