Come and worship with us this Sunday! Pastor Brett’s topic for February 12, 2023 is “John the Testifier.” Our scriptures are Isaiah 40:3-5, Malachi 4:4-6, John 1:35-42, and John 1:19-34.
Synopsis: This Sunday we will look at two prophecies about the first witness to Jesus, and how their words caused some of the religious establishment to have questions on John’s identity. Then we will hear the testimony of the first two witnesses, John the Testifier and Andrew.
We will look at how John used baptism to explain who Jesus is. Baptism wasn’t new, but the thought that all people would need to be baptized, even Jewish people was very new.
